Back in style

Ever notice how babies can pull off fashion trends that wouldn't be acceptable unless you were a baby…..I'm pretty sure no one else could pull off something so outdated and come out looking so adorable.

Exhibit A: Giant hair bows.

Pretty sure the last person to successfully pull off a giant bow on their head was Lisa Turtle on Saved By the Bell. But somehow she rocks it!

Looking very skeptical about this blog post material.

Exhibit B: Tucked in shirts

Since we are not cast members of 90210 tucking your shirt into your jeans would also be ruled out in 2015 but somehow she manages to come out on top, resourceful and cute.

And last but not least Exhibit C: Socks OVER pants.

We find that the only way to get her out of the house with socks in place (and not kicked off) is to wear them over the pants. Stylin'? Let's ask our friends from the 80's.

She may be committing a fashion faux pas (and since she doesn't dress herself it's really me who's committing the crime here) but I suppose a girls got to do what a girls got to do.

One Month

Happy one month precious girl. Some days it feels like you've been here forever and some days I wonder how a month has passed already. I'm gonna blame it on the sleep deprivation.

This month you met your Harris grandparents. They pretty much fell for you the minute they saw you. You seem to have that effect on people. Your dad also walks around like he has his head in the clouds, I think its a mix of lack of sleep and a deep love for you, but mostly the deep love right?

Our girl and Dan's Bear from his childhood. Can you guess its name? Wait for it......Teddy. Love the creativity babe!

Names you might hear around the house if you were to stop by: Precious one, precious girl and pretty lady. Seems we think she's pretty good lookin'

Pinterest copy cat, I couldn't resist.

This is your first time to wear a short sleeve shirt. How do I know that? I'm a first time mom silly, we keep track of weird things like that. I also know this because the weather is changing. When the seasons change in Alabama we have crazy weather patterns, like a drop of 55 degrees between night and day (that is today).

The changes in weather seem to represent the ever changing status in our home. Life with a newborn is not really consistent. There have been a few tearful breakdowns because of this (mine, not yours thankfully). Your mom doesn't really do well with change and here I am thrust into it. Thanks for bearing with me this month pretty lady as we navigate these waters together. You are doing a great job at learning how to be a baby! Now on to month two.
